Microsoft Dynamics 365
What to export from Business Central, Finance and Operations, Sales and Customer Service.
glasstarn reads exports from Dynamics 365. Your agent tells you exactly which tables or views to export and which columns to keep.
Business Central (tested)
Section titled “Business Central (tested)”Purchase to pay follows each purchase order line:
| Table | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Purchase Header, Purchase Line | Purchase orders and their lines |
| Approval Entry | Approvals (optional) |
| Purch. Rcpt. Line | Receipts |
| Purch. Inv. Header, Purch. Inv. Line | Posted invoices |
| Vendor Ledger Entry | Payments (optional) |
Order to cash works the same way, with sales orders, shipments, posted sales invoices and customer ledger entries.
The usual way is a configuration package export, which a Business Central admin can run. Your agent tells you which tables and fields to include.
Finance and Operations
Section titled “Finance and Operations”Purchase to pay and order to cash are both tested. Your agent tells you which tables to export.
Sales (tested)
Section titled “Sales (tested)”Follows leads and opportunities from creation to won or lost. Export the lead, opportunity and, optionally, activity tables (emails, appointments, tasks, phone calls).
Customer Service (tested)
Section titled “Customer Service (tested)”Follows cases from creation through queues to resolution. Export the incident (case), queue item, case resolution and, optionally, activity tables.
What to ask your Dynamics admin
Section titled “What to ask your Dynamics admin”I’d like to analyse our purchase process with glasstarn. Please export Purchase Header, Purchase Line, Purch. Rcpt. Line, Purch. Inv. Header, Purch. Inv. Line, Approval Entry and Vendor Ledger Entry for the last six months, to Excel or CSV, with all columns.
Things to know
Section titled “Things to know”- Keep times in UTC when converting Dataverse exports to CSV.
- Export choice fields as their labels (such as Won), not only their numbers.
