Jira

Pull issues and their status history from Jira Cloud with your approval.

glasstarn can pull issues and their change history from Jira Cloud, with your approval each time.

  1. Tell your agent which project and period, such as “bugs in project WEB from the last six months”.
  2. Your agent shows you exactly what it will pull. You approve it in the browser view.
  3. glasstarn signs in with your Jira email and an API token that you set on your computer as JIRA_EMAIL and JIRA_API_TOKEN before starting your AI app. Your agent tells you how. glasstarn uses them for the pull only and never stores them or shows them to the agent.
  4. Issues and their history are saved in the project.

To make an API token, sign in to Atlassian and open Account settings → Security → API tokens.

Each issue’s creation and every status change, assignee change, priority change and resolution. Your own workflow and status names are used, including custom workflows. Tested on a real Jira Cloud site with standard and company-style workflows.

  • People appear as account IDs, not names.
  • Status changes to the same status are skipped.
  • Good first questions: “Where do issues wait the longest?”, “How often are issues reopened?”, “How long from In Review to Done?”
