Don't know what to export?
Any process works, and all glasstarn needs is three things. If you are not sure how to get them out of your system, just ask your agent.
Any process, three things
Section titled “Any process, three things”You can analyze any process that leaves a record of what happened: purchasing, sales, support tickets, claims, hiring, permits, loans, or your own workflow. Start with a CSV or Excel export. See supported file types for other options.
All glasstarn needs is three things on each row:
| What | Example |
|---|---|
| Which item it is about | An invoice number, ticket ID or claim number |
| What happened | “Created”, “Approved”, “Paid” |
| When it happened | A date, or a date and time |
Every other column helps: amount, region, vendor, team, who did the step. More columns give you more insight into why some work is slow. See What your data needs.
If you are not sure, just ask
Section titled “If you are not sure, just ask”You do not need to know your system’s tables. Open your AI app and say something like:
I want to analyze our purchase process, but I don't know what to export.Your agent then asks you a few simple questions:
- What do you want to find out? For example, why invoices are paid late.
- Which system is the work in? For example SAP, Salesforce or ServiceNow. If you do not know, that is fine too. It suggests asking whoever runs the system.
- Do you already have a file? If yes, send it and it starts straight away.
Once it knows the system, your agent tells you exactly what to export: which tables, which columns, which period. If someone else runs the system, it writes a short request you can forward to them.
For many common systems glasstarn already knows how the data is stored, so the request is exact and the files are checked when they come back. For any other system, your agent works out with you which export has the item, the step and the time.
Pulling data straight from the system
Section titled “Pulling data straight from the system”For Salesforce, ServiceNow, Jira and HubSpot, your agent can also offer to pull the records for you instead of you exporting them. You always see exactly what it will pull first, and nothing happens until you select Approve and run in the browser view. See Privacy and trust.
