Linked records

Follow orders, deliveries, invoices and payments together, across documents and even across systems.

Some processes are not one item from start to end. An order has deliveries, each delivery has invoices, and each invoice has payments. Following only the order hides what happens to the rest.

glasstarn can keep these records linked. A shared step, such as one delivery that covers two orders, is counted once, not once per order.

  • Ask your agent. For common systems such as SAP or Dynamics 365, your agent knows how orders, deliveries, invoices and payments link, and asks for the right exports. See Don’t know what to export?.
  • From related tables. Give your agent the tables and tell it how they relate, such as “each invoice row has the order number”. It proposes the links and checks how many rows match before building.
  • From an OCEL 2.0 file, if you already have one.

When links are missing, glasstarn says how many rows found no match, instead of guessing.

  • The subway map, with one coloured line per kind of record.
  • Follow in the left menu, to choose which kind of record the Process, Variants and Items screens follow.
  • Timing across records, such as from order received to invoice paid, in Measure.
